|
|
I'm looking to replace a Watermill PR50D pump (twin impeller 1.5bar) but have noticed that some are advertised as "regenerative" and others are not. What's the difference?
Thanks! |

Centrifugal shower pumps
Centrifugal pumps use a paddle design for the impeller and are therefore more prone to air ingress. They require a 2 meter head of water to operate and tend to be quieter in operation.
Regenerative Shower Pumps
Regenerative pumps have a solid impeller with grooves cut into the body similar to a cog. This design aids the removal of air and can be fitted with a low head of water from the bottom of the header tank pump.
They are slightly noisier than the low voltage pumps. _________________ Please visit our Homepage:

| Thanks! Is there any way of telling if the PR50D pump that need replacing is a regenerative or centrifugal one? or does the PR50D only come in one variety? |

Regen.
The pipes go in and out the top
Centra.
One pipe goes in the centre and the other out the top. _________________ Please visit our Homepage:
