Please can somebody help as iam about to throw the whole dam thing through the bathroom window ! Shower is about ten years of age and up to press work very well, problem started when i couldnt turn the shower off as the handle kept turning round.Order new seal kit from shower doc stripped insides and found problem which was the brass housing and brass spindles threads were stipped.Next order a complete cartridge as they no longer sell the spindle on its own, fitted the new cartridge with the new seals now the shower will only run cold even if you adjust the thermostat.Come to the conclusion the thermostat must be faultly so again placed an order for this time a thermostat, fitted this still the same as before plenty of cold but when adjust screw anticlockwise to get hot there is no water pressure hot just dribbling out.Stripped again back to pipes coming through wall checked both water presssures ok made sure both check (non return) valves were working ok and filters not blocked.Rebuilt shower again using the correct seals lubricant and fittings still the same only cold water no hot tried adjusting thermo screw to no avail,so for this has taken two weeks at a cost of £170 and still no working shower!
Sorry about the rant can anyone help.[/b] |

Hi there, disheartening isn`t ?, particularly since you would appear to have done every thing correctly ! Could I suggest that you send the valve assy to us and we could run a workshop test on it. Our charge for this is £25.00 plus vat and is normally done on day of receipt. No new parts are fitted without customer agreement
Regards, Alastair |
