I've had my shower just over a year and a fault has developed in the past few months. Several times a day, at any time of night or day, there is a short burst of water from the shower head. Its not connected with when the central heating pump kicks in.

Any ideas?
Martin

Probable cause is that one of the relays on the pcb is stuck on giving continuous low heating to the point where thewater over heats and flows through the sprayhead at the same time the thermal cut out operates and kills power, unit cools ,tco resets and the cycle starts again. To check if this is the case turn off electric supply to the shower and see if problem stops.

I followed your suggestion and the fault does disappear if the power to the shower is switched off.
I noticed that my shower was covered by a 24 month warranty so I contacted Redring about the problem. The support desk told me that it wasn't a fault, it was expected behaviour, and that I should always switch off the power to the shower unit when its not in use. There is actually a comment in the user manual to that effect.
I'm going to live with the problem as its not that convenient to access the power switch each time I want to use the shower.
